If your trusty hydration pack is starting to smell, even after a wash, it’s time to look at a new pack. With a growing selection of hip packs on the market, why would you want to move from the traditional backpack? Besides keeping weight as low as possible to improve handling and lower stress on the back, less surface area simply means less sweat. Hip packs like this EVOC Hip Pack Pro 3L make a lot of sense.
The EVOC Hip Pack Pro 3L is an evolution of the EVOC Hip Pack Race 3L. Ventilation is key for any pack, even if it’s a hip pack. The Hip Pack Pro’s biggest update comes from it’s mesh back. It features an airflow contact system, which has ventilation channels through the back that are covered by a mesh developed initially for the medical industry. What’s the key is what they call a Venti Flap, which adjusts how close the hip pack sits to your back. It’s an excellent option to keep up air flow during a grinding climb, and cinch it down later when the going gets rough.
There’s also a buckle, cinch straps on either side of the waist, two food compartments, an external organization pocket using a water-resistant zipper. The Pack Pro has plenty of space for a 1.5-liter hydration bladder, with two spots for water bottles on either side.
The EVOC Hip Pack Pro 3L comes in three colorways: Black/Carbon Grey, Carbon Grey/Chili Red, and Sulphur/Moss Green. Each pack includes a 1.5L hydration bladder and a magnetic clip for the hydration hose.
