Tires for all bicycles
Our selection includes both affordable basic tires and top-quality racing tires for your bike, whatever your riding style. By choosing tires that are specifically suited to your riding style, you can easily and affordably improve the overall performance of your bike. Tires are part of the so-called rotating mass of a bicycle, which must be set in motion every time you accelerate. For this reason, even small changes in, for example, the weight of the tires – i.e., the outermost circumference of the rotating mass – have a significant effect on the bike’s behavior. In addition to weight, the tread pattern, rubber compound, and tire carcass structure also have a significant impact on the riding experience.

The importance of tire design
The importance of suitable tires cannot be underestimated, as they alone are enough to make a bike good (or very bad) to ride in certain conditions. Even a mountain bike cannot be called a mountain bike in good conscience if it is not equipped with tires suitable for off-road use. This leads us to the conclusion that every tire model is a compromise in at least one area: tires that grip well in the terrain are slower to roll on hard surfaces, and maximum puncture protection and wear resistance always add weight. Therefore, it is important to choose a compromise from the range of different tires that is suitable for your specific use.
Tire diameter
When choosing tires, the first thing to do is to find out what size tires are suitable for your bike. The most important measurements are the width and diameter of the tire, which can be indicated in several ways. The most common tire diameters are:
29″, i.e., 700c or 622 mm: These are one and the same tire size indicated in three different ways. This traditional tire size, also known as 28 inches, is the most common rim diameter found on bicycles, used on everything from city bikes to road bikes and 29″ mountain bikes.
27.5″ or 650b or 584mm: This is a tire standard that is slightly smaller in diameter than a 29-inch tire and is commonly used on mountain bikes, touring bikes, and gravel bikes.
Tire width
The width of tires is marked on their sidewalls. The width of off-road tires is usually given in inches – for example, a tire marked 29×2.4 is 2.4 inches wide. For road, gravel, and hybrid bikes, tire width is given in millimeters. For example, tires marked 700x40c or 40-622 are 40 mm wide. It’s a good idea to use the width of your old tires as a reference when choosing new tires for your bike.
