Old Man Mountain Fit Kits are tried, tested and proven! Old Man Mountain was born in 1996 out of the need to mount racks on bikes that lacked traditional mounting points. Our goal was to make every bike ready for bigger adventures. Our Fit Kits do exactly that, and offer significant advantages over traditional eyelet mounting.

Protect your bike: Not all bike eyelets are designed to carry rack loads – most are meant only for fenders or have very low weight limits. Axle mounting protects your frame by moving the load from a small bolt in shear to a pin extending from the axle, which the rack′s mounting tabs lock onto.

Want to carry more gear? Axle mounting increases the load capacity of our Divide rack to up to 70 lb (31.8 kg).

Want to move your rack between bikes? With a Fit Kit the rack is easy to swap from one bike to another, or between front and rear mounting, with just a few bolts.

2021 and newer Fox 36 and 38 forks have a floating axle design. ONLY if you replace Fox′s bolt-on axle with our bolt-on axle do you need the SET704.F kit, which includes a floating adjustment shim. If your 2021 or newer Fox 36 or 38 fork came with a QR thru-axle, you can use the SET704 kit.

For all other 15 x 110 mm Fox forks you need the SET704 kit. Read less
